Campsites in the
Yorkshire Dales!
The Dales Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club was founded in 1974 by enthusiasts not only to try and control the activities of flyers but also to retain the good will of the many land owners in the area.
It was made official by its affiliation to the British Hang Gliding Association in 1975!
The Club has continued to grow and today is one of the most successful and well supported clubs in the country. They look to continue this growth in much the same way as they have in the past and actively encourage new members.
Please note: It is a club for qualified Hang Glider and Paraglider pilots. They do not provide training. For this you need to contact a school - http://www.bhpa.co.uk/
The sport of paragliding has come a long way over the last few years with flights of up to 100km lasting 5 or 6 hours!
The Yorkshire Dales and Southern Pennines offer some of the best areas in the UK to experience the thrills and challenges of this exciting sport!
